Yay for Tribe! Glad to hear they are getting the creative juices flowing again.
As for De La..3 Feet High and Rising is still my Fave. I could swear that there is a sample on that album from NPR's Prarie Home Companion...anyone know what I'm talking about? |

I've never really seen a group "Act Hard" by recording a song like "Roller Skating Jam called Saturdays" :)
Seriously though, that album has all kinds of great songs. Millie Pulled a Pisol on Santa. Acting hard by writing a song about child abuse. I think not.
Their song Ego Trippin is about rappers who do act hard though. It's yet another great song.

that was the first de la album i ever bought. i've been wondering about this- at the time i thought de la soul is dead was the shit; everyone else seemed to badmouth it and say they were acting hard. i couldn't see any of that on the album at all though; did i miss something, or...? |
