de la and ms. dynamite
Yo, I am feelin' you on the 3 feet high and risin tip as my favorite joint. remember: How many times did the batmobile catch a flat? LOL...too nostalgic.
I think Ms. Dynamite should do something with them to kinda bring them back in the loop. Plus, she's got an ol school vibe about her.you guys gotta take a listen, they have some tracks up on her site, msdynamite.net....worth the listen AT LEAST

Yay for Tribe! Glad to hear they are getting the creative juices flowing again.

As for De La..3 Feet High and Rising is still my Fave. I could swear that there is a sample on that album from NPR's Prarie Home Companion...anyone know what I'm talking about?

De La Acting Hard

I've never really seen a group "Act Hard" by recording a song like "Roller Skating Jam called Saturdays" :)

Seriously though, that album has all kinds of great songs. Millie Pulled a Pisol on Santa. Acting hard by writing a song about child abuse. I think not.

Their song Ego Trippin is about rappers who do act hard though. It's yet another great song.

de la is dead
that was the first de la album i ever bought. i've been wondering about this- at the time i thought de la soul is dead was the shit; everyone else seemed to badmouth it and say they were acting hard. i couldn't see any of that on the album at all though; did i miss something, or...?
